A Treatment Plan Starts With the Right Questions
The provider will ask how the collision occurred, when symptoms began, what makes them better or worse, and how they affect sleep, driving, work, exercise, and other daily activities. Existing records or imaging can be reviewed when available.
The physical examination helps determine whether conservative care is appropriate and whether the patient should be referred for imaging, emergency evaluation, or another specialist.
Common Components of Conservative Care
Treatment may be adjusted over time as pain, motion, tolerance, and function change. The objective is to improve movement and support a safe return to normal activity rather than simply repeating the same visit.
Documentation and Communication
Car accident care often involves communication with insurers, attorneys, imaging centers, or medical specialists. The practice documents findings, recommended care, response to treatment, and referrals as part of an organized clinical record.
